Ekuru Aukot Fiercely Responds to Ahmednasir after critisizing him for Joining NASA Petition
Thirdway Alliance Kenya, the party which sponsored Dr Ekuru Aukot’s presidential bid in the August 8 poll, sought to join the petition by NASA challenging President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.
In an application filed at the Supreme Court registry on Monday afternoon, the party said it has crucial information concerning the August 8 general election and which might assist the court to arrive at a just decision.
Dr. Ekuru Aukot’s sudden change of mind,has attracted a lot of reaction from Kenyans on social media with prominent lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi being one of the first Kenyans to comment on the matter.
Through his Twitter handle,Ahmednasir criticized Aukot for his decision to join the NASA brigade in petitioning the Presidential elections.Below is what he wrote;
Among all the feedback Dr Aukot got,Ahmednasir’s comment seemed to have caught his eye,considering he is set to join the IEBC’s legal team.
The timelines set by the court indicate that all interlocutory applications will be heard on Friday, or a day after President Kenyatta, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and Chairman Wafula Chebukati, file their responses.Aukot got 27,311 votes and was fifth in the race that attracted eight candidates.
