Although Deputy President William Samoei Ruto is wearing a brave face but has been cornered by political cartels out to sabotage his 2022 presidential bid, a vocal Jubilee MP has claimed.
East African Legislative Assembly MP Simon Mbugua said (video below) that there are state officials in government who are working day and night to ensure Mr Ruto does not succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in the next general election.
According to the fiery MP, Principal Secretary in the Interior Ministry Karanja Kibicho and former Senior Presidential advisor, Mrs Nancy Gitau are among the individuals from Central Kenya plotting DP Ruto’s downfall.
The MP was lamenting after harassment by police officers allegedly sent by Interior PS whom he accused of orchestrating his recent arrest over the beating of former Nairobi CBDA chairman Timothy Muriuki.
“Karanja Kibicho and Nancy Gitau are plotting the Deputy President’s downfall. And you all can see that Ruto is now a worried man but just wearing a brave face. These people are sabotaging his 2022 bid,” Mbugua said.
