Raila’s petition against Uhuru’s win is very weak, Ahmednassir says

Prominent city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has brushed-off the Presidential election petition filed by NASA at the Supreme court on Friday,August 18.

The outspoken lawyer, who represented the IEBC at the Supreme court during the 2013 Presidential election petition filed by CORD,said that the petition was not “well conceptualized” and therefore is weak.

According to Ahmednasir Raila’s 2013 petition was 1000 times much stronger than what they have presented this time at the Supreme Court.

From my readings of the petition filed by Hon Raila,I can sincerely say that his 2013 petition is 1000 times better conceptualized, stronger

His two cents was echoed by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator KIPCHUMBA MURKOMEN who termed the 25000 page petition as “hollow and deceptive stories.’

Murkomen tweeted:

As a teacher of law I saw 25000 pages of hollow and deceptive stories. Lots of form without substance.

NASA resorted to seek redress in the supreme court after the International community and religious groups mounted pressure on them.
The alliance, through their representatives on Friday, August 18 night, filed a “25,000 page” Presidential election petition case at the Supreme Court.
The case shall be decided withing the next 14 days as mandated by law.
