President Uhuru Kenyatta has defeated the National Super Alliance(NASA) leader Raila Odinga in a new opinion poll initiated by the once reputed Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi.
Ngunyi who has more than 816,000 followers on Twitter interestingly asked users, “If Elections ARE HELD today, WHOM would you VOTE for?“

In the poll that ended on September 11th,President Kenyatta emerged victorious with 52 percent, followed a distant second by Mr Odinga who garnered 35 percent of the 15,473 total votes cast.
In the third position were voters who,according to the poll,were tired of politics.

The opinion poll comes two weeks after the Supreme court annulled President Kenyatta’s victory of polls conducted on August 8th on grounds of massive electoral irregularities and illegalities.
The seven-bench judges then ordered the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) to conduct a fresh Presidential election within 60 days.Abiding by the ruling,the IEBC scheduled the repeat polls to take place on October 17th.
